Background

This design was originally an option for print 02 (meant for the month of February in a calendar) given mandarins are considered lucky during Tết.

My grandparents would buy a mandarin tree and place at the front, and take photos with it dressed up. In my past couple of Tết visits, I would do the same by the request of my parents. At home in Texas, my family would usually buy mandarins, stack them on a plate, and place them on our ancestor and Buddha altar.
