᪥ Why are the paintings unvarnished? ᪥

Varnish is not required for acrylic (the medium I use) unlike oil, and . However, it can provide an extra level of protection, and when applied, will slightly alter the appearance of a painting. I recommend doing your own research on varnish, for some resources recommend varnish for acrylic paintings while others do not (such as the Smithsonian).

Personally, I do not like the look of varnish because it makes the brushwork and layers of paint (sometimes I use a variety of acrylic paints which can result in a different sheens on the final work) appear more uniform. Also, without varnish, my paintings have a softer look, giving it a more quiet touch.

If you enjoy my paintings and own one, I would not be offended if you choose to have it varnished! However, I hope it’s not a gloss finish.

᪥ Do you accept commissions? ᪥

I do! I accept commissions for both digital / print work and paintings!

For an accurate rate, please contact me via email with what you have in mind and reference photos if possible, and I will get back to you!

For paintings, my rate as of now is $2/in² + tax, but depending on what is requested, the exact price may be lower or higher.

Shipping cost is not included, and will be calculated when your zip code is provided. I try my best to keep the cost as low as possible and aim to re-use materials to reduce waste. Free pick-up and, depending on location, drop-off are available in the DFW area.

᪥ How & when will I receive my order? ᪥

Your order will be shipped within a week from your order date. Paintings may take longer due to more intensive handling and care for packaging.

For expected delivery, please allow for 2-3 weeks. Tracking will be provided for every order except for prints part of the print club.

As of this moment, the following shipping options are available for paintings:
