On a night where we didn’t have power, my family lit up candles we had around the house for light. During this time, I was anticipating to hear back if I got matched to a college on an approaching date. While I was staring at the flames of the candle place on our dining table to pass time, my dad saw all the wicks were bloomed and said it was a sign of good luck.

I then began to really bank on it being a good omen for my situation, and it did happen to work that way! I now pay a lot of attention to wicks whenever I pass by a lit candle.
