Background

From my memory, my parents used to display either 3 or 4 Vietnamese lacquered panels nearby our front door. Though it is no longer up and may actually be no longer in possession, possibly due to seeing lacquered panels at temples and in other older asian homes, I find them pretty nostalgic!

The table is a reference to other common pieces I see in homes with lacquer panel decor, being that of the carved solid wood furniture, where the chairs were not very comfortable.

I also made this with my sister in mind, so the color scheme reflects that.
