1. A Painting For My Sister

Size: 10 x 10 in
Medium: Acrylic on canvas

I’ve been requested, and so I will do 🙂‍↕️

It’s a fun simple painting and aiming to finish by 10/15! Hopefully, also upload it by that time as well!

2. Large Paintings!

Size: 40 x 40 in & 30 x 40 in
Medium: Acrylic on canvas

I’m not sure why, but the idea of painting on a large square canvas is very exciting to me at this moment!

Conceptually, I’m thinking of something that is richer in color, like a navy, and somehow, furniture-related… like a couch… specifically my parents’ old flower-patterned couch… but simplified… b/c realism isn’t my vibe…

For the 30 x 40, planning on painting a tree landscape! Leaning pastel for this one 🤔

3. PRINTING!!

Medium: Postcards Sized Illustrations? Calendar? SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES!!

I finally purchased a printer and it may or may not be sitting unopened in the corner of my room for more than week!

Brainstorming ideas of what to use it for, and currently thinking of:

  1. Print Club! Some postcard series

  2. 2026 Calendar! With traditional Vietnamese iconography and inclusion of Lunar Dates

4. Local Art Club / Pop-Up? 👨‍🎨

Medium: Fun hang w/ focus on improving skill & exploring different styles / small sale set-up

Honestly, will any of the two actually happen? Not sure!

But I randomly have the urge to start a small club in DFW to recreate the feeling of community and promotion of growth I felt in my college art classes.

And the concept of doing a pop-up just sounds really fun to me!

How will I receive my item?

As of this moment, the following delivery / shipping options are available for paintings:

  • Large Paintings

    • UPS Ground

    • Local pick-up at the Corner Bakery at 118 E John W Carpenter Fwy, Irving, TX 75062

  • Medium & Small Paintings

    • UPS Ground (if a medium)

    • USPS Ground Advantage

    • USPS Priority Mail

    • Pick-up at the Corner Bakery mentioned above

  • “Pick-up w/ packaging”: The painting will be boxed and padded as if I prepared it for shipping via UPS / USPS. Otherwise, it will come w/ glassine paper and one layer of bubble wrap.

For local pick-up, I will contact you as soon as possible to schedule!
Regarding the shipment date, I will aim to do so within a week of your purchase.

Due to figuring out shipping kinks, packaging and setting out to ship may take longer than expected, so please be patient with me! On this note, I plan to refund the difference if packaging and shipping costs end up lower than the estimates at check-out.

Why are the paintings unvarnished?

From what I understand, varnishing is not needed for acrylic (the medium I use), but it can provide an extra level of protection and slightly alter the appearance of a painting.

Personally, I do not like the look of varnish because it makes the brushwork and layers of paint (sometimes I use different acrylic brands, which can result in a variety of sheens on the final work) appear more uniform, and I like the soft look the paintings have as is, for it gives a more quiet touch.
Also, at a personal level, even though I value my work, the concept of preserving something beyond what’s needed isn’t particularly appealing to me.

On that note, if you enjoy my paintings and own one, I would not be offended if you choose to have it varnished! But, I hope it’s not a gloss finish.
